Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1

Destinations: Arrive in Shanghai

Today's Activities: Arrive in Shanghai. You will be warmly welcomed by your local guide at the airport and then you will check in the hotel. Have a good rest.

Meals: No meal


DAY 2

Destinations: Shanghai

Today's Activities: In the morning, your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby, you will have a day’s sightseeing in Shanghai city. Visit the famous Yuyuan Garden, located on Anren Jie, Shanghai with a name that means pleasing and satisfying. Despite its small size of about five acres, it is packed full of exciting attractions. Proceed to visit Jade Buddha Temple, located in weste Shanghai, is a very famous Shanghai attraction. Originally, in 1882, a temple was built to hold two jade Buddha statues brought from Burma by monk Huigen. Then visit the Bund, Shanghai's famous riverfront and Shanghai's fantastic foreign buildings, can be seen from its spot on the Huangpu River. Then visit Nanjing Road, the main commercial street of the city,stretching west from the Bund through the heart of Shanghai.

DAY 3

Destinations: Shanghai

Today's Activities: In the morning, you will be driven to Shanghai World Expo Zone, then you will have the sightseeing on yourself. Visit the pavilions you favor freely. In the afternoon, you will be picked up and driven back to your hotel.

DAY 4

Destinations: Shanghai-Suzhou

Today's Activities: After breakfast, you will be driven to Suzhou, have a day tour in Suzhou. You will visit the Garden of the Master of the Nets, which is also called Fisherman's Garden, with a 0.6-hectare, elegant garden where Song Zongyuan, an early Qing-dynasty official used to live. Then visit the Tiger Hill, another famoust tourist site in Suzhou.
Proceed to take a cruise on the famous Grand Canal , which was a water conservation project in ancient China.
Then appreciate the traditional handicraft at the Silk Factory. Stay overnight in Suzhou.

DAY 5

Destinations: Suzhou-Hangzhou

Today's Activities: In the morning, you will be driven to Hangzhou. You will visit the famous West Lake, where you will enjoy sightseeing and a cruise. The lake is surrounded by hills on three sides and faces downtown Hangzhou on the fourth side., where there is a very romantic ancient love legend. Then you will visit the Six Harmonious Pagoda, and Lingyin Temple, one of the most famous Buddhist temples in China. Afterwards, you will visit the Longjing Tea Village, where you can have a nice hot cup of the famous Longjing tea.

DAY 6

Destinations: Hangzhou-Huangshan

Today's Activities: In the morning, you will be driven to Huangshan. Check in the hotel and have a good rest, to make good preparation for sightseeing in the following.

DAY 7

Destinations: Huangshan

Today's Activities: After breakfast, you will be driven to Mt. Huangshan, where you will hike up to the top of the mountain. The sightseeing will be very wonderful during the hiking. Then you can visit the Xihai Scenic Area, followed by a tour to Bright Summit, Flying Rock, Whispering-Gallery, and Paiyun Pavilion.

DAY 8

Destinations: Huangshan

Today's Activities: Try to get up early in the morning to catch the Mt. Huangshan's magnificent sunrise. After breakfast, you will visit the Shixin Peak, Colorful Dreams, Lion Peak, Monkey watching the sea and Cool Pavilion of Yellow Mountain.
Then you will take the cable car at Yuping Station down to the foot of Huangshan Mountain and visit the Tunxi Old Street. Then check in the hotel.

DAY 9

Destinations: Huangshan

Today's Activities: In the morning, your guide will pick up you at hotel and accompany you to Yixian Country for visiting the Xidi and Hongcun villages. Xidi and Hongcun Ancient Villages were listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 2000.
Xidi Village is called "the Land of Peach Blossom" for its beauty and tranquility. It is also called "a treasure house of ancient resident architecture" for its well-preserved ancient dwelling houses in Ming and Qing dynasties" and a famous archway built for a prefectural governor - the Archway of Hu Wenguang.
Hongcun Village features interesting layout - a water buffalo shape, then its environmental architectural idea - a crisscross waterway system. Because of its nice scenery, Hongcun has always enjoyed the name "a village in the Chinese painting". It is also the location for the famous prize film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".

DAY 10

Destinations: Huangshan-Hefei

Today's Activities: After breakfast, you will take flight to Hefei. Your local guide will pick you up from the airport and help you check in the hotel. You will then visit the Xiaoyaojin Park, and the Pedestrian Street.
Enjoy a Hui style dinner at night.
Meals: Breakfast+Chinese Dinner


DAY 11

Destinations: Hefei-Xi'an

Today's Activities: After breakfast, check out the hotel. You will be driven to the airport for your flight to Xi’an.
Arrive in Xi’an, you local guide will pick you up from the airport, and accompany you to visit the world-famous wonder, the Terra-Cotta Warriors, which is around one mile from Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum. This site is especially famous because it was so strange and mysterious to bury a whole army underground. Then you will visit the Qin Tombs.
Afterwards, check in the hotel and have a good rest.

DAY 12

Destinations: Xi'an-Beijing

Today's Activities: In the morning, your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby, you will visit the must-see attractions. First you'll visit the Provincial History Museum, which features artifa dating back over 6,000 years. Proceed to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Xi'an's signature landmark and the home of original Buddhist scriptures brought from India during the Tang Dynasty.
Then you will visit the Ancient City Wall that still encompasses the center of Xi'an.
Afterwards, you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Beijing.

DAY 13

Destinations: Beijing

Today's Activities: After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to Tian'anmen Square, which is the heart of modern China, the symbol of the People's Republic, and the center of Beijing's landmarks.
After lunch, proceed to the Forbidden City, home to 24 emperors in the Ming and Qing Dynasties during its five centuries of use.
Next you will visit the Summer Palace, a monument to classical Chinese architecture, in terms of both gardens design and construction. The picturesque landscape of Longevity Hill, Kunming Lake, numerous palaces, gardens and other ancient-style architectural structures will be a pleasure to your eyes.

DAY 14

Destinations: Beijing

Today's Activities: In the morning, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and accompany you to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the main section of the Ming reconstruction of the Great Wall. Mutianyu tourism region of the Great Wall are mostly covered with luxuriant vegetation in the long range of mountains which gives it a great view. Enjoy hiking on the wall for 2-3 hours or so.

DAY 15

Destinations: Beijing

Today's Activities: You will have an early morning visit to the Temple of Heaven, where you can see local people doing taiji (tai chi) and morning exercises. It was where emperors prayed for good harvests, sought divine approval and atoned for the perceived sins of the people.
Afterwards, You will visit Hutong in Beijing by rickshaw for a glimpse of local life and witness the charm of old Beijing.

DAY 16

Destinations: Depart Beijing

Today's Activities: In the morning, you will be driven to the airport for your departure flight. Your memorable China tour ends.
